My POV:
360 controller:
- Bulkier (I don't mind)
- Better triggers
- Better analogs (position and shape-wise)
- Wireless (no BT, but I who cares?)
- No internal battery (pros and cons; I just use rechargeable AA's)
- Crappiest D-pad ever
DS3:
- Small and light (I don't mind)
- Crappy triggers
- Mediocre analogs (obsolete positioning, slippery convex shape)
- I keep forgetting which button is R1 and which is...
Come on, it's N4G. There are rules here:
- All PS3 games score 11/10 by default, unless they're totally unplayable and broken - in these rare cases the reviewers are allowed to give them 9/10 (or 9,5 to be safe). Anything less will be considered bias, hype and anti-PS3 conspiracy.
- Multiplatform games cannot score higher than 7/10, unless they look better on PS3 - in this case they are allowed to score as high as 8/10, but the review has to make it clear, that the PS3 version is...
Because, as GT said in the review, other shooters are still playing catch-up with MW. If Killzone 2 was overall a better game than MW, lack of innovation would never be mentioned.
This just proves that PS3 fanboys are indeed the worst. What we have here is bunch of kids crying that a sequel to a multiplatform AAA title is rumored to get a high score on IGN. In other words, they are upset, that one reviewer POSSIBLY thinks that a game THEY CAN PLAY is excellent. I guess they switched from "a game can't be good if it's not on PS3" to "a game can't be good if it's not PS3 exclusive". This is b3yond childish.
"All it would take is one store manager or even a clerk who knows a security walk-around, a repair guy who gets his hands on a kiosk, and the streets could be littered with legitimate illegal copies."
Or you could steal the game or download it via P2P. And guess what - you don't need an uber-hacker for it!
You're trying so hard to not give MS credit they deserve.
That's bad for many N4G trolls (Saaking and crew), because they seem to always get the "superior PC version".
According to my crystal ball, the awards will go to:
- Uncharted 2 (action/adventure)
- Modern Warfare 2 (FPS)
- Forza 3 (racing)
- Beatles (music)
- Street Fighter 4 (fighting)
- Dragon Age (RPG) - not sure about this one
Other games mentioned: Killzone 2, Batman: AA, Demon's Souls, ODST, Shadow Complex
In Europe, ODST is actually 40$ (around 42$ to be precise).
You should consider a closed helmet yourself. :>
@Flip: of course it does happen. It's just that for every X360 troll there's like 20 PS3 trolls.
It's great that you care about MS so much, but:
"the thing is MS needs to focus more on Japan"
Why? They would have to divert resources from bigger and more profitable markets, like USA and UK. And what for? To cater even more to Japanese gamers, that buy mostly specific games that don't sell well anywhere else? X360 is already cheaper and has more jRPGs than PS3. What else do they need?
"they need more 1st part Jrpg"
How many does the...
It's heartwarming that even the most committed PS3 fans take so much time to express their concern over XBL Gold price. And it's just a small part of their campaign to make our lives better! They fight for free XBL with features matching the tremendous functionality of PSN. They are always ready to help us understand that Halo is overrated and we've been all tricked to enjoy the franchise by Microsoft's aggressive advertising. PS3 fans will always provide you with a full list of Playstation e...
@N4GKing: Games matter, not who makes them. You'll realize this when (if?) you become a gamer.
*looking at the comments*
Anyone still in doubt that SDF dominates N4G comments?
Seriously guys, grow up.
@soxfan:
There you go: two N4G articles - one positive about X360, one positive about PS3. I could only bear counting comments on the first comment pages. The results:
X360 NEWS: "Five Reasons You Need Halo 3: ODST"
PS3 fanboy comments on the first page: 23
PS3 NEWS: "Sony pumping up another visual heavy AAA FPS?"
X360 fanboy comments on the first page: 0
The margin of error: I could miss 1-3 comments on each page. ...
The funniest part is that they are actually helping the hype. I wouldn't be surprised if some of these trolls were actually Microsoft's PR people trying to keep Halo in the spotlight.
Wormholes are created when you don't troll in X360 news. I guess we're all safe then.
@jmare: Did I? Explain how.
Let me explain, how Flipmode's comment proves my point. Let's say that Bobby is an average X360 owner and Mike is an average PS3 owner. Imdaboss says "Bobby is a teenager and Mike is 28". I say "Too bad Mike still acts like a teenager when he's on N4G". Note that I didn't deny Bobby's age, I didn't even mention him. Then Flipmode says "Oh yeah? You say that like Bobby is more mature". He does not defend Mike, like Assassin...
"If they spent as much time practising the guitar as learning how to press the buttons they’d be damn good by now"
If you spent as much time parenting as whining about videogames, they would be more interested in playing the f...ing guitar.
"Apart from the better range of motion on the analogue sticks and smaller dead zone on the DS3"
That's new. Link?
"a lot of 360 games have the fire button, inexplicably, mapped to the trigger"
Yes, guns share this weird, inexplicable design. A trigger for firing? What's next, pedals for accelerating and braking in racing games? :>
"the trigger button is where my middle finger rests"
Probably a PS...
